Ein didaktischer Vorschlag für das Unterrichten von bilateralem Dolmetschen in der Sprachkombination Spanisch-Deutsch

Up to the present day, only a few articles have dealt with the didactics of liaison interpreting. This particular one aims to contribute to a didactic basis, offering a practical approach to consecutive liaison interpreting for the German-Spanish language pair. It will place a special focus on role plays and preliminary practical exercises. With the help of role plays, students are able to identify, acquire and apply the skills and strategies necessary for liaison interpreting. Moreover, role plays offer students the opportunity to observe and evaluate the complete process of interpreting. Giving students the task of fictitious interpreting assignments with directed progression of difficulties, which the students prepare beforehand and which are simulated in the lessons, creates a certain dynamic in class. This motivates students to successfully approach any difficulties when acquiring interpreting competences and then to overcome the

El aspecto de la neutralidad en la audiodescripción fílmica

En este capítulo examinamos la pregunta de cómo audiodescribir las imágenes de una película adecuadamente para el público con discapacidades visuales desde un punto de vista traductológico. Aplicamos los Estudios de la Traducción y, en concreto, la teoría de la Escuela de Leipzig, para proponer una solución a dicha cuestión. Dado que opinamos que la audiodescripción tiene como objetivo transmitir el valor comunicativo (junto con su carga axiológica) y la función comunicativa de la película teniendo en cuenta la función comunicativa global para llegar a una película audiodescrita (TM) que sea comunicativamente equivalente a la película original (TO), justificaremos la hipótesis de que el texto audiodescriptivo fílmico (TADF) contendrá lexemas de toda la gama axiológica (positivo, negativo y neutral) para poder transmitir el valor fílmico de una manera comunicativamente equivalente.This chapter examines the question of how to audio describe films adequately for a visually impaired audience from a translational point of view. We will apply Translational Studies and specifically, the theory of the Leipzig School, in order to propose a solution for this question. Given that we consider the aim of audio description (AD) to transmit the communicative value (with its axiological charge) and the communicative function of the film taking into consideration the global communicative function of the film in order to elaborate an audio described film (TT) which is communicatively equivalent to the original film (OT), we defend the hypothesis that the filmic audio descriptive text (FADT) contains lexemes of the whole axiological range (positive, negative and neutral) in order to be able to transmit the film value in a communicatively equivalent way.Universidad Pablo de Olavide - Departamento de Filología y TraducciónVersión del edito

Zur Bewertung des Gesprächsdolmetschens im Hochschulunterricht: Game of Thrones ¿ Wie professionell handelt Missandei?

This article aims to present a didactic teaching proposal, which broaches the issue of evaluation of liaison interpreting. An interpreting scene in the popular series Game of Thrones, in whose third season the slave Missandei serves as a negotiating interpreter, will serve as a live demonstration. On the basis of the evaluation criteria elaborated by Kautz (2002), this scene will be examined and analysed in a plenary session, to enable students to form a clear idea about how negotiation interpreting can look in practice, what difficulties can arise, what solutions can be found and what strategies can be adopted. The subsequent discussion serves as a starting point for further reflections about professional ethics, codes of ethics, the neutrality of the interpreter, etc. This teaching proposal has attracted wide interest and its didactic could all be more than achieved.Universidad Pablo de Olavide - Departamento de Filología y TraducciónVersión del edito

Characterization of Human Endogenous Retrovirus Type K Virus-like Particles Generated from Recombinant Baculoviruses

AbstractThe family of human endogenous retrovirus type K (HERV-K) comprises members with long open reading frames (ORF) for retroviral proteins. The existence of a biologically active provirus with replicative capacities has not yet been demonstrated. To confirm the assumption that HERV-K codes for the previously observed retrovirus-like particles (human teratocarcinoma-derived virus, HTDV) in human teratocarcinoma cells, we have constructed recombinant full-length HERV-K cDNA-based baculoviruses withgag, pro, pol,andenvORFs. Two viral constructs were used for infections of insect cells, one bearing 67 bp of the 5′ untranslated region upstream of the 5′ splice donor (SD) site and of the retroviral genes, the second omitting the SD sequence. For both recombinant viruses, indirect immunofluorescence and laser scan analyses revealed expression of HERV-K Gag protein. Electron microscopy studies demonstrated efficient production of virus-like particles (VLPs) at the cytoplasmic cell membranes. These VLPs are morphologically identical with the HTDV phenotype. In immunoelectron microscopy of ultrathin frozen sections, anti-HERV-K Gag antibodies specifically reacted with HERV-K VLPs. In Western blots, in addition to the 76-kDa precursor protein, the putative major core protein with an apparent molecular mass of 32 kDa exhibited predominant immunoreactivity with anti-Gag antiserum. In contrast, neither HERV-K Env nor cORF proteins could be detected due to inefficient mRNA splicing. Purified particles from insect cell culture supernatants tested in an ultrasensitive reverse transcriptase assay revealed weak polymerase activity. Error analysis and teaching suggestions to improve the quality of bilaterial in- terpreting

In diesem Beitrag soll eine Korpusanalyse von bilateralen konsekutiven Verdolmetschungen aus Prüfungssituationen des Kurses ¿Bilaterales Dolmetschen B/A/B. Deutsch¿ mit A-Sprache Spanisch verschiedener Semester des Studiengangs ¿Übersetzen und Dolmetschen¿ an der Universität Pablo de Olavide in Sevilla (Spanien) vorgestellt werden. Anhand der von Domínguez Araújo (2013) ausgearbeiteten Bewertungsmatrix für das konsekutive Dolmetschen wurde eine Bewertungsmatrix für das bilaterale Dolmetschen aufgestellt, mit deren Hilfe die Prüfungen ausgewertet wurden. Das Augenmerk lag hier im Besonderen auf der Verdolmetschung in die Fremdsprache. Die Fehler, die bei den Verdolmetschungen gemacht wurden, zeigen, dass hier weiterhin Übungspotential besteht. Didaktische Vorschläge sollen helfen, dieses abzudecken mit dem Ziel die Qualität der Verdolmetschungen insgesamt zu verbessern.Facultad de Humanidades - Departamento de Filología y TraducciónVersión del edito

Algunas reflexiones acerca de las traducciones al alemán de la obra lorquiana Bodas de sangre: Beck y Wittkopf

The aim of this chapter is to give a better insight into the German translation of Lorca's play Bodas de sangre. In particular the case of Heinrich Enrique Beck will be discussed, who, during decades, enjoyed the exclusive rights of translation of Lorca's works into German. The reviews which his translations received and the events that led to the fact that other translations like for example the translation of Bodas de sangre by Rudolf Wittkopf, could enter the market will also be examined. After throwing light on the translation difficulties of the play in question, the two translations into German will be compared both with each other and with the original version.El objetivo de este capítulo es proponer una reflexión sobre la traducción al alemán de la obra lorquiana Bodas de sangre. Abrodamos el caso particular de Heinrich Enrique Beck, que, durante décadas, ha disfrutado de los derechos exclusivos de traducción de las obras de Lorca al alemán, las críticas que han recibido sus traducciones y los acontecimientos que dieron lugar a que otras traducciones pudieran entrar en el mercado, como es el caso de Bodas de sangres de Rudolf Wittkopf. Die Neutralität in der Audiodeskription: eine Annäherung aus übersetzungswissenschaftlicher Sicht

La neutralidad en la audiodescripción fílmica desde un punto de vista traductológico

En este trabajo se investiga el aspecto de la neutralidad en la audiodescripción (AD) fílmica desde una perspectiva traductológica. Examinaremos el concepto de la neutralidad explicando qué entendemos por ello, para qué sirve y cómo se puede conseguir una AD neutral en la práctica. Asimismo demostraremos que el término neutralidad es mucho más adecuado que el término objetividad en el ámbito de la AD fílmica. No obstante, es necesario definir el concepto de la neutralidad dentro del ámbito de la AD, un objetivo que cumplimos en el trabajo presente. Para todo ello aplicaremos los Estudios de la Traducción a la AD, que nos sirven como fundamento científico a la hora de examinar el aspecto de la neutralidad en la AD fílmica demostrando al mismo tiempo que la aplicación de los Estudios de la Traducción a la AD fílmica es altamente beneficiosa. Tras investigar el aspecto de la neutralidad de una forma teórica aplicaremos, en un siguiente paso, nuestras reflexiones a la práctica. Los resultados de este trabajo de investigación sirven para hacer una aportación hacia unos estándares y criterios de calidad respecto a la neutralidad en la AD fílmica.Tesis Univ. Granada.
